about

Of my ongoing projects, the one I am most involved with and in which I have invested most of my time has been remixing and reinterpreting traditional Balkan music, drawing from a range of sounds and electronic samples (Brassband, Classic Orchestra, etc.) and weird, rare atmospheric beats. In terms of my influences, I am somewhere situated between E. Kursturica, DJ Shadow, and Amon Tobin.

about

Balkanist99 Paris, France

Of Slavic descent, my ancestry has played a significant role in my development as a musician, as I’ve sought to blend a variety of Eastern and Central European sounds with the mainstream Western 60s and 70s Rock and electro.
